Why We Built SyncReserve

We ran racquet clubs on the established platforms. They worked. We wanted more than working — the best booking experience in the sport, software that bends to the club, and tools that actually move the numbers.

We did not build SyncReserve because the software we used was broken.

We built it because it worked — and working was not enough.

We ran racquet clubs on the established platforms. PlayByPoint, CourtReserve, and the rest are capable, integrated systems. They schedule courts, take payments, manage members, and run programs. They will run a club. We know, because they ran ours for years.

But every day we ran into the same gap between the software does this and the club feels great doing it. Members tolerated the booking flow instead of loving it. The front desk absorbed friction the software handed them. When we wanted the system to bend to how our club actually ran, it mostly couldn't. None of that is a knock on the incumbents. It is the ceiling of software built to fit thousands of clubs at once. We wanted a higher ceiling.

The bar we wanted to clear

Three things, specifically.

The best booking experience in racquet sports. Not "functional." The kind of flow a member books on their phone without thinking, a drop-in completes without an account, and the front desk barely has to touch. When booking is genuinely easy, members do it themselves — and the phone stops ringing all day.

Software that bends to the club, not the other way around. Membership perks, pricing logic, program formats, automations — shaped around how this club runs. When an operator asks for something specific, the answer should be "we'll build it," not "that's not how the platform works."

Tools that move the numbers. Software should not just store a record of what happened. It should actively fill courts, attach revenue, and keep members: an AI guest assistant that helps people book more, automations that upsell and improve the member experience, SMS that actually reaches members, and books that reconcile and export to QuickBooks without a quarterly rebuild.

What SyncReserve is

One platform, built for how racquet clubs actually run:

  • Booking and member experience designed to be the best in the sport — for guests, members, and the front desk.
  • An AI guest assistant that takes actions on your behalf and helps guests book more, plus AI that helps staff run the dashboard.
  • Custom automations for upsell, reminders, and member experience — built around your club.
  • Every program format — leagues, ladders, tournaments, clinics, lessons, open play.
  • Mobile SMS to reach members and guests where they actually read.
  • Payments and accounting that reconcile per booking and export to QuickBooks.
  • A modern engineering stack built for fast integrations — with a CLI and MCP access for teams that want them.

One club already lives here

This is not a thesis we are hoping to prove. The Courthouse switched to SyncReserve from PlayByPoint and is running on it today.

What changed was concrete. Drop-ins that used to hit an account wall now convert. Reservations moved online and the calls to reserve a court dropped sharply — the front desk got its day back. Rentals attach in one tap at checkout. Membership perks were built to match the club's exact model. And when the team asked us for something specific, we built it — which, they told us, had never happened with any platform they used before.

If this sounds like your club

If the software you run works but never made the club feel great — if you have wanted the best booking experience in the sport, a platform that bends to how you operate, and tools that move the numbers instead of just recording them — that gap is exactly the one we built SyncReserve to close.

Book a demo and we will show you what your club looks like on it.
