Who this is for
A racquet club already on CourtReserve that is adding a sport, tightening guest pay, or tired of stitching a play app and a spreadsheet onto the same week. If you are happy, stay. Switching software is a real cost.
What has to move
Treat the move as four piles. If a vendor cannot say which pile they take, you do not have a migration plan.
- People. Members, guests, family relationships, notes. Guest records that later become members have to merge, or you get two profiles.
- Money. Open memberships, packages, credits, unpaid balances, refunds in flight. Payment state belongs on the reservation.
- Rules. Peak windows, member vs guest price, booking windows, no-show, walk-in without an account. This is the week a club adds padel and the old rules do not fit.
- Programs. Lessons, clinics, leagues, open play. Some CourtReserve clubs run play in a second tool (Pickleheads Ultra is the current CourtReserve-side integration). Decide before cutover whether play stays in a second app.
What usually does not move cleanly
Historical chat. Custom reports built by hand. Every old integration. Exact mobile-app ratings. Plan on a parallel week, not a Friday flip, unless the club is small and the piles are thin.
The one decision to lock before you sign
Walk-in vs member on day one. Guest booking plus card plus a membership plan, no account wall for a first-time player, same calendar as members.
